Hot Air Balloon Rides

Free flight in a hot air balloon is a tranquil and calm adventure. Sometimes we fly at treetop height...so scenery and wildlife are intimately close and captivating. At other times we fly several thousand feet high...for a beautiful panoramic view. The balloon seems to be standing still, because we just drift with the wind.

Our balloon can accommodate up to four people. Several balloons can fly together for large groups.

Dress comfortably, there are no extreme changes in weather because we don't climb that high. Remember early mornings and evenings can be cool, you may want a sweater. Footwear worn should be in anticipation of field conditions including wet grass. Bring a camera and lots of film!! Each balloon flight is a unique experience.

 

Since we just drift with the wind, our exact course and destination can never be predicted. Our ground crew follows us during the flight, and meets us at our landing site. They help us pack up the balloon before we return to the launch site. For your safety, all flights are subject to postponement if wind or weather are not favorable.

To make your hot air balloon ride even more memorable, a champagne breakfast is included after morning flights originating from the Letchworth Park area and certain other locations. Flight time averages 1 to 1 1/2 hours depending on wind and weather conditions. You should plan a total excursion time of three to four hours. We recommend that reservations be made two to three weeks in advance. Launch times are at sunrise and approximately 2 hours before sunset.
